    Camp Kinneywood

    June 29, 2026 - August 14, 2026

At Camp Kinneywood, campers ages 6–12 immerse themselves in nature through outdoor adventures, hands-on STEM projects, and daily social-emotional learning. Set by a serene lake and surrounded by forest, campers kayak, hike, swim, and explore environmental challenges while building confidence and community. With SEL support from trained staff and an on-site clinical intern, each week ends with reflection and celebration around the fire pit—creating a truly transformative experience in the wild.

    strong, smART and bold

Today was a very creative day at Girls Inc of Worcester!  The 25 girls who participated in the Presidents' Day program pitched in with two adult (Gina Fleury and Kofi Poku) and two teen volunteers (Yaa and Adwoa Poku) to create masterpiece murals that will be proudly displayed in the Winthrop House lobby for months to come.

SO MANY Holiday Presents to Share

Girls Inc's Holiday Celebration lasted all day long!  On Friday the 18th we started with a staff Christmas potluck lunch, Yankee Gift swap and special gift raffle!  It was great to have time together with ABUNDANT food, gift cards, a new baby and much laughter!!!

At 4PM we heard a hearty HO HO HO and Santa came to visit the girls and give them each a special gift AND a hand knit hat (really a great gift on a weekend like this one!)  Check out the pictures below!

    Full and Fun Week!

It has been a great week - very full and a lot of fun (and food!)

WEDNESDAY: Val Loring and Janet Jones, two long-time friends of Girls Inc, co-chaired a THANK YOU luncheon for former members of the Girls Inc Board and other long time friends on Wednesday.  The event took place in Alden Hall - old friends reconnected with each other and Girls Inc as we talked about the needs of girls today, the life-changing role of Girls Inc for girls in our community and renewed our commitment to growth and greatness as we move toward our Centennial in 2016.

    Annual Meeting and More

We have had a busy week at Girls Inc!  The Annual Meeting was last Wedneesday and we brought in a great group of new Board members, led by new President Victoria Waterman and including Dora and Akuah, the two young women who will be the youth representatives.

We honored outgoing Board President Joan Bertrand, and Board Members Marcy Supovitz and Mary Goretti. The program included the rededication of George I Alden Hall, our renovated auditorium. Deborah Penta inspired us with her reflections on mentors along our life journey.
