Administrative Receptionist

Girls Inc. of Worcester is seeking a welcoming, detail-oriented Administrative Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our facility. In this critical role, you’ll help maintain the safety, organization, and flow of our front desk while supporting daily operations with administrative and data entry tasks. You’ll play a key role in greeting visitors, ensuring building security procedures are followed, and supporting our mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

Responsibilities: 

Front Desk & Building Safety

  • Greet all guests, staff, and participants with warmth and professionalism.
  • Maintain sign-in/out logs and verify IDs for all visitors, vendors, and guardians picking up youth.
  • Track and manage accurate records of youth and staff present in the building.
  • Monitor front entrance to ensure building safety and serve as the first point of contact for emergencies or unusual activity.
  • Communicate any security or safety concerns to appropriate staff or leadership.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with data entry, filing, and organizing office documents.
  • Respond to phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff.
  • Support with copying, scanning, or preparing materials for programs and staff.
  • Help distribute mail and maintain inventory of front office supplies.

Light Housekeeping and Organization

  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
  • Support the organization of program supplies and general upkeep of common areas as needed.
  • Assist in preparing events, program materials, or visitors.
Work Schedule: 

This part-time position requires a 15-20-hour workweek, with flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend programming. During After-school Programming: hours will be between Monday–Friday: 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm. 

Qualifications: 
  • At least 16 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Or completed 10th grade and actively working toward high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of administrative or customer service experience preferred.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills.
  • Comfortable with basic data entry, email, and office equipment (copier, scanner, etc.).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist in light physical tasks as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a background check with fingerprinting (cost covered by applicant).Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the mission of Girls Inc.
Salary and Application Information: 

Job Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $15-16.50/Hour dependent on experience
