Thanks to over 160 individuals who attended the Girls Celebration Event on Thursday, May 10th, at the Blais Pavilion of the Lazare Research Building at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Girls Inc. recognized six successful women and girls for their demonstration of courage and perseverance, generosity and compassion, dedication and sincerity, and vision and leadership throughout their community.

Another summer has come and gone and the crisp air of fall is upon us as we are focused on the future of another successful year at Girls Inc. The staff and board are excited to have many projects underway that will continue to enhance our programs that serve over 3,900 girls annually.
Economic Literacy Program Continues to Provide the Important Fundamental Skills to Girls Ages 9-12

WORCESTER, MA, October 16, 2006 - One of the strongest indicators that an individual will vote as a young adult is exposure to the polls as a child. This is why a "mock election" - in which girls simulate the process of voting for actual 2006 candidates for governor - represents a major component of the Girls Inc. She Votes campaign. Girls Inc. knows the value of hands-on learning, so we are participating in the Girls Inc.
