Position Summary
The Art & Creative Expression Intern supports youth social-emotional development through visual art, creative projects, and expressive activities. This role emphasizes healing-centered engagement, identity exploration, and emotional literacy through art.
- Design and facilitate art-based wellness activities and workshops
- Use creative expression to support emotional processing and self-esteem
- Create inclusive projects that honor diverse identities and experiences
- Collaborate with clinical and program staff to align activities with SEL goals
- Prepare materials, maintain safe art spaces, and document participation
- Support exhibitions, showcases, or culminating projects
Ability to work after school hours (approximately 1:30–5:30 PM), up to 20 hours/week (flexible)
- Enrolled in or recently completed a program in art, art therapy, education, or related field
- Experience working with children or adolescents
- Strong facilitation and classroom management skills
- Interest in trauma-informed and healing-centered practices
