Art & Creative Expression Internship

Position Summary
The Art & Creative Expression Intern supports youth social-emotional development through visual art, creative projects, and expressive activities. This role emphasizes healing-centered engagement, identity exploration, and emotional literacy through art.

Responsibilities: 
  • Design and facilitate art-based wellness activities and workshops
  • Use creative expression to support emotional processing and self-esteem
  • Create inclusive projects that honor diverse identities and experiences
  • Collaborate with clinical and program staff to align activities with SEL goals
  • Prepare materials, maintain safe art spaces, and document participation
  • Support exhibitions, showcases, or culminating projects
Work Schedule: 

Ability to work after school hours (approximately 1:30–5:30 PM), up to 20 hours/week (flexible)

Qualifications: 
  • Enrolled in or recently completed a program in art, art therapy, education, or related field
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Strong facilitation and classroom management skills
  • Interest in trauma-informed and healing-centered practices
