Girls Inc. of Worcester is seeking a Teen Program Facilitator to lead dynamic after-school programming designed specifically for teens. In this hands-on role, you’ll serve as a mentor, facilitator, and youth advocate—delivering impactful workshops, building strong relationships, planning local field trips and events, and helping grow our teen programming through outreach and community engagement.
Program Facilitation & Youth Engagement
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for teen participants.
- Facilitate developmentally appropriate, teen-centered programming focused on leadership, identity, life skills, wellness, college and career exploration, and community action.
- Collaborate in designing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum that is responsive to teen interests and community needs.
- Support daily program operations including activity prep, youth check-in/out, behavior guidance, and transitions.
- Assist with walking line and parent dismissal.
- Plan and supervise local field trips and special activities for teen participants.
Community Engagement & Program Growth
- Represent Girls Inc. at local tabling and community engagement events to recruit and build excitement for teen programming.
- Assist in coordinating family engagement activities and special events.
- Foster positive relationships with parents/caregivers and communicate concerns promptly and appropriately.
Physical Requirements
- Walk up to one mile daily for participant pickup.
- Safely lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for program setup and event materials.
Other Responsibilities
- Communicating with and addressing behavior concerns with supervisors and filling out appropriate documentation
- Communicating with any parent/guardian concerns and questions promptly and appropriately.
- Ensure accurate attendance data entry for your club/classroom
- Light housekeeping duties
This part-time position requires a 15-20-hour workweek, with flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend programming. During After-school Programming: hours will be between Monday–Friday: 12:00 pm- 6:00 pm.
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or currently pursuing one.
- Minimum 9 months of experience working with youth in group settings; experience with teens (11-17) strongly preferred.
- Passionate about youth development, social justice, and community empowerment.
- Strong skills in youth engagement, facilitation, organization, and communication.
- Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting (applicant is responsible for fingerprinting cost).
- Ability to travel locally to events and community partner sites.
- Bilingual or multilingual applicants strongly encouraged to apply.
