The Administrative Intern will support the Director of People & Culture in a variety of administrative and human resources functions, contributing to the overall organizational efficiency and staff experience at Girls Inc. of Worcester. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to nonprofit operations, HR practices, and organizational culture initiatives while building real-world administrative and coordination skills.
Administrative Support
- Assist with day-to-day office operations including filing, supply management, mail distribution, and workspace organization
- Manage and track inventory of office and program supplies
- Provide scheduling support for meetings, trainings, and staff events
- Monitor and respond to general emails or inquiries as appropriate
People & Culture Support
- Assist in the coordination of onboarding and offboarding processes
- Help maintain and update personnel files, internal documents, and team directories
- Support internal communication efforts (bulletin boards, email updates, celebration tracking)
- Aid in organizing wellness, recognition, or staff development activities
Event & Project Coordination
- Support logistics for staff events, training, and internal meetings
- Participate in light event planning, including preparing materials, setup, and follow-up
- Contribute to projects that support a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Flexible work hours to accommodate academic schedules. The normal Girls Inc. of Worcester workday is between 9 am-6 pm Monday-Friday.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Google Workspace is a plus

This is a non-paid internship. We accept interns for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
