Yesterday we mostly stayed at the University of Massetusetts. We first start of doing a project seeing how your leg can change size by 10 minutes. Then we went into the lab and talked about what a CEV really means. NASA obviously use CEV's but the interesting thing is that the sattlites are retiring in two years.So with that subject  we are building are "fake" CEV's, but we have to make rough drafts first. Next we ate yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyuuuuuummmyyyyyyyyyy pizza!After that we built are CEV's and interview are CEV's to everybody.Lastly we took a long walk to the sign of UMass to take a picture...

Today we went to the Umass campus to create CEV's, which stansds for Crew Exploration Vehicle. We learned that when astronauts first travel into space they feel like they have a cold and the upper part of the face gets puffy. Which causes them a reaction not to feel thirsty because of the fluid shift that increases the blood volume. the food that astronauts carry are dehydrated because theres no water in space. We did a lesson on how to stimulate the fluid shift felt by astronauts upon entering space. Which was really cool cause you could actually feel on...

At the STEM Lab, a part of UMASS, the Goddard girls did numerous things. We saw what happened to our legs when the force of gravity was changed by leaning them against a wall at 90 degrees, and measuring certain points in our leg, then standing and measuring the same point, then seeing what part of our legs expanded or contracted due to the change in gravity force.

Later we designed and built prototypes for CEV's, or Crew Exploration Vehicles. My team and I just modified a CEV that was made last week by the Davinci Diva's, which I was in, and it was done before most...

During my third day at goddard girls summer program, we went to the umass stem labratory and I had lots of fun. In the morning, I did an experiment on body fluids and leg circumference. I learned that on Earth your body fluid is below heart level, but on the moon the water or H2o in your body is the same in all parts of the body. It is because of this that astronauts do not feel thirsty. In the afternoon, I really enjoyed designing, building, and demonstrating my cev. Yesterday we wnet to the Stem Lab and we built CEVs which stands for  Crew Exploration Vehicles. When we were there we also measured  the circumferences of our claves, ankle and thighs. I learned a lot about the importance of teamwork yesterday becaue if you go to space with a crew you need to be able to communicate with each other without fighting all the time because then you'll definitely get nothing done. Thte CEVS we built came rather nice if I do say so myself. I was proud of the creativity of all the girls. We also tried some dehydrated food.....to be honest with you I thought that...
