Today we had a lot of fun. WE went to UMASS Medical School. That is a place where college graduates learn to be doctor, nurse, surgeons, and musch more. Umass memorial hospital is very big and new. When we got there we were split into groups. One group would discuss when the other wwent on a tour and visa versa. On the tour we went in to an area called the simulation center. There students or new doctors or nurses could preform procedures on dummies so they perfected them befor the preformed them on actual people. There were a lot of different dummies.

Yesterday we wnet to the Stem Lab and we built CEVs which stands for Crew Exploration Vehicles. When we were there we also measured the circumferences of our claves, ankle and thighs. I learned a lot about the importance of teamwork yesterday becaue if you go to space with a crew you need to be able to communicate with each other without fighting all the time because then you'll definitely get nothing done. Thte CEVS we built came rather nice if I do say so myself. I was proud of the creativity of all the girls.

Today we came to camp and went almost immediately to the stem lab. That is where we do experiments and build things. TOday we were supposed to do this program called leg up. This was supposed to simulat what it was like for the inside of your body to have no gravity and where on your body would be thinner and fatter. First we measured three different places on our legs the ankle calf, and thigh. Then we stood still for ten minutes and saw how that affected the measurments. After that we layed in a reclined position for ten minutes and wrote all the Data in a graph.

Dear Blog,
Today was very interesting. I went to M.I.T.It took an hour And a half to get there.First we talked to this science guy who showed us this spinney thing that if you closed your eyes, you woulden't feel like your spinning. Also i met a new friend named Jakie.we hade lunch at Subway,Then we went to this Moonwalk thing.also i saw a robot and it was 1 of the 2 in the world! bye!

Well my started off with a bus ride to MIT. That's the college in Boston that works with NASA. A man whose name I don't recall showed us into one of the labs there. He talked about what MIT does as research and stuff like that. I also learned about how gravity keeps your bones and everything in check so if you go up in space it would mess up the balance in your body. They also explain to us about the space suit and its challenges. They also showed us new designs of a new space suit which seemed pretty cool.

Today we took a trip to Boston and went to a MIT, a college in Boston. We learned that onn the moon its hard to walk because of how the space suit is formed. They are filled with gas for humans to breath. That gas is called oxygen in order for us to live we need it. Moon and Mars are the only two heavenly bodies that NASA has ever visited and done some investigation and work on it. We also saw how astronauts walk on moon and mars. The space suit has a reflex as a balloon, so it not easy to bend, they have a certain moon walk.

To start off the day it begins whern we took a feild trip! to MIT. what we learned about space and all the fasanating things that went on and what happens throught out it. one thing that i learned is how they controlled space siuts and how they built them in a special way. they have this robot kind of machine that gives oif data and how hard it is to move to the astronauts body suit. Counter fuse machine that its a kind of machine that may sound confusing but its really FUN!!

wow first day at new camp made some new friends and some of them i new from school. first we started at the girls inc then we went to the MIT,
and we saw this centerfuge and it spins when you lay down on it.
also the gravity maches when you stand! after that we went to this astronaut thing, that we were waching the man explain some stuff about the space suit and the little well i shold say big robote.

So far the week at Goddard girls is pretty fun.Today we took a bus to Cambridge to talk about space. The bus ride took about 40 mins. When we got there a scientist named Brad gave us a tour of his lab. We saw a contraption called a Centrifuge. This peice of technology is for astronaunts up in space. This helpes the astronauts get as much calcium as their bones need, because in space there is no pressure so their bones lose alot of calcium and thay are of no use when the astronauts get to the space station , moon or any other place there going.
