Girls Celebration Event 2009

Thursday, June 11 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm at Girls Inc. - Winthrop House, 125 Providence Street, Worcester. 

Girls Incorporated of Worcester has long been committed to providing inner-city youth who cannot afford the cost of camp with the opportunity to attend our enriching and fun summer programs offered at Camp Kinneywood, our beautiful outdoor camp located near the Holden Reservoir, and at Winthrop House, our in-town facility.  

To make our summer programs possible for some of the neediest children in our community, Girls Inc. holds an annual Girls Clebration to raise funds for our Summer Camp and Program Scholarship Fund and to honor local community leaders that truly exemplify Girls Incorporated's mission of inspriring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. 

Please join us in honoring The George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation, for whom Girls Inc.'s Aquatics Center will be dedicated, and Dr. Jean King and Linda Cavaioli, recipients of the 2009 Advocate for Girls Award on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Winthrop House -125 Providence Street, Worcester, from 4:30–6:30 pm. Silent Auction, BBQ, and much more! 

Last summer, 86 children received an average of three weeks of summer camp scholarship (including meals and transportation). They enjoyed fun, enriching camp experiences - learning skills such as boating, outdoor fire safety, developing life long friendships, and experiencing diverse cultures from the international staff.
