UMass Medical University

August 5, 2010 - 3:11pm -- leadacademy

During my fourth day at the Goddard Girls Summer Pogram, we went to UMass where I attended Chinese academics. In the morning we saw many mannequins that medical students practiced on before they started to work with real human beings. I learned that they debriefed after a session. The dummies were exactly like real people. They had a pulse, they could breathe and speak to my surprise. After that, we went to interwiew a person that was the manager of the international space station. Her name was Dr.Liz Warren and she knew as much as an astronaut even though she has never gone into space before. The last thing we did today was listen to medical students present their posters to us. I listened to a presentation on the Pla molecule and that was very interesting. To conclude, today was my second best day of this programm.
