Girls Inc. of Worcester knows how important it is to provide positive, safe and enriching programs for your child during the summer. Fun activities including new specialty programs are being offered to girls and boys at both Camp Kinneywood and Winthrop House starting June 23rd and ending August 22nd.
Camp Kinneywood
Experience great outdoor adventure everyday on 110 acres of woodlands and meadows, make new friends, and take part in interesting and fun activities for girls and boys entering grades 1-7.
- NEW! Little Critters-Entering grades 1-3
Children will have the opportunity to hike, play games and create nature crafts. Daily swimming and boating in the freshwater pond will be part of the fun! - NEW! Nature Explorers-Entering grades 4-6
Paddle a rowboat, hike nature trails and learn new swimming skills while experiencing the great outdoors. Explorers will design and create their own crafts from natural materials. Sports and games will be part of your exciting week at camp! - Counselor-In-Training Program-Entering grades 7-10
This program will teach you how to work with younger children in an outdoor setting. Learn how to lead games, teach arts & crafts and basic first aid.
NEW! Exciting Specialty Programs - Babysitting Adventure - For girls and boys entering grades 6-8/Available Week 1 and 6
Become a certified babysitter through the American Red Cross. Learn first aid, emergency procedures, safety and activities to do with young children.
- Future Lifeguards - For girls and boys entering grades 6-8/Available Week 7
This course will teach basic swim safety techniques and give you a start to a great first job. Must have strong upper level swim skills. - Boating Blast - For girls and boys entering grades 1-6/Available Week 3
Come aboard and learn skills in rowing, canoeing and funyaking! Arts & crafts, games and nature activities will be part of your experience. - Nature Crafts - For girls and boys entering grades 4-8/Available Week 4
In this program campers will explore the world around them and then create treasures from natural materials. In addition to crafts campers will swim, go boating and play games. - Outdoor Cooking - For girls and boys entering grades 4-8/Available Week 6
Learn how to roast corn, make stew, bake a cake in an orange peel and much more all on an open fire. Fire safety and fire building skills will be part of the skills taught in this program. - Swim Teamtastic - For girls and boys entering grades 4-8/Available Week 8
Come train with a coach with 20+ years of experience! Join your friends at camp while you perfect those strokes and flip turns while you build up endurance and speed.
Camp Kinneywood Hopen House

In-Town Summer Fun Program
The Girls Incorporated of Worcester In-Town Summer Fun Program offers girls and boys entering grades 1 - 5 an exciting array of activities held at the Winthrop House site this year! Our In-Town Summer Fun program is a wonderful place for youth to explore and learn in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Recreational Swimming
Trained lifeguards who have experience working on a waterfront closely supervise our aquatic programs. Girls and boys are swim-tested the first day to evaluate their abilities and comfort in the water. - Friendmakers-For girls and boys entering grade 1-2
Create arts & crafts projects, swim & splash in the pool, play games outside on the lawn, dance to music and learn silly songs! - World Explorers-For girls and boys entering grades 3-5
The explorers will learn about a new country by cooking food from the region, creating unique arts & crafts projects and learning games that are played around the globe. - Teentastic-For girls only entering grades 6-8
Try weird science experiments, design projects from arts & crafts and enjoy water sports in the pool. Each participant will design and participate in a special end of week activity. - NEW! Gymnastics Adventure-For girls only entering grades 1-12
Girls of all ages and levels will learn basic to advanced skills and technique. Gymnastics, swimming, arts & crafts and adventure will keep your little/big adventurer busy and happy!
