GALS (Girls About Leadership and Service)

GALS seminar on February 17 at UNUM with Karon Shea, owner of the Karon Shea Model Management, learning how to walk and pivot – and LOOKING GOOD!Girls About Leadership and Service (GALS) is a leadership program for girls grades 10 through 12.  The program, sponsored by UNUM Insurance Company, is designed to teach the GALS skills that will help them succeed in the future.  The goal of the program is to provide the GALS with the building blocks for leadership through leadership skills, community service, academic enrichment and team building.  The Girls Inc. - UNUM partnership will continue through 2012, with each year focising on a different goal.  Year one will focus on team building, year two will focus on mentoring middle school girls, and year three will focus on working together for the community.
