Associate Director of Programs – Eureka!
This full time position oversees the quality and delivery of Eureka!, a premier five-year Girls Inc. National STEM program for girls in 8th-12th grade. We are looking for a dynamic manager, who can communicate effectively with various constituents, ensure the delivery of a high-quality STEM curriculum, help to set and meet financial and participation goals, empower and aide in the development of teenage girls, and assume a leadership role among all Girls Inc. programs when needed.
1.Oversee a high quality, exceptional Eureka! Program;
2.Work collaboratively with the senior management team and program staff to establish annual financial and participation goals, oversees the implementation of these goals, and ensures successful outcomes. This includes collaboration with the Fund Development Department on writing grant proposals and seeking funding and volunteer opportunities;
3.Manage the implementation and analysis of outcome measurements, including the pre and post testing for funders and Girls Inc. National;
4.Develop curriculum for both new and ongoing programs;
5.Directly oversee Eureka! program areas by recruiting, training and organizing participants, employees and volunteers;
6.Participate in and work with community partners to build relationships and seek out resources for programs and program participants;
7.Manage staff working in the Eureka! program;
8. Serve in a leadership role among all Girls Inc. programs when needed.
1.Bachelor’s degree, with 3 to 5 years of work experience in youth work doing similar tasks required for this position;
2.Experience in supervision and management of a diverse work force;
3.Ability to analyze, organize, plan, delegate and manage with multiple programs and staffs;
4.Understand the importance of youth development and other necessary elements related to building a quality after-school and out of school time program; as well as familiarity with the advantages of single gender programs;
5.Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people individually and present to larger groups; and to interface with families, community organizations, businesses and workplaces in the Greater Worcester area;
6.Ability to work as a team player with Girls Inc. staff and community agencies;
7.Working knowledge of technology;
8.Flexibility in hours - requires some evening and weekend hours and travel;
9.Adhere to confidentiality and conduct policies appropriate for a representative of Girls Inc.;
10.Must have reliable transportation;
11.Bilingual is a plus.
